Terri Clinton served in the United States Army as a 98GKP Electronic Warfare Specialist. She attended linguistics school and tested proficient in reading, speaking and writing Korean. She graduated from Military Intelligence school and was assigned to the 125th MI BN at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Terri separated at the rank of Specialist in 1990.
When her brother-in-law was KIA on August 5, 2005, she decided to advocate for veterans though her membership in The American Legion. Terri has held many post, district and department officer positions, and was elected state Commander in 2017. She is currently the National American Legion College Alumni Association Secretary and National American Legion Press Association Finance Officer.
Terri is a proud member of American Legion Post 206 Aurora, an all-female post she helped to revitalize, and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1 in Denver, Colorado.
Terri resides in Westminster, Colorado. She has three children: Cory, Chelsea and Hannah. She is currently employed as a Sr. Benefits Specialist by Cimarex Energy Co. Terri continues to live by her Commander’s motto: “Veteran Lives Matter – We Matter,” and proudly serves as a member of the Rocky Mountain Fisher House Foundation Board of Directors.
